So I am in need of a hair transplant. I've learned that you should be on Minoxidil and Finasteride for 18-24 months before getting the transplant to see how much hair regrowth you get from the meds alone. I have, in the past, started two or more meds in the past simultaneously only to have a bad reaction and then had to play a months long game of stopping the meds one at a time to figure out which one was causing the problems. To avoid this, I decided I would start with topical minoxidil for a month and then start the Finasteride. Well... the topical minoxidil caused a bad shed but then caused my hair regrowth to explode. In only a couple months time, my head was fuller than it had been in years. Also, the hair loss seemed to stop, despite the fact that minoxidil isn't supposed to have an effect on hair loss. Before the minoxidil, I'd lose so much hair in the shower that it would clog the shower drain EVERY time. If I scratched my head over a piece of paper, an incredible amount of shedded hairs would fall onto the paper. After a couple months of minoxidil, I could vigorously rub the top of my head over a white surface and only TWO OR THREE hairs would fall out. As a result, I developed the mindset that, "Well, the only point of the finasteride is to stop further hair loss but the hair loss seems to have stopped on its own... so why would I even take the Finasteride at this point?" Well now I'm on month 7 of topical minoxidil alone and the hair loss is taking over again. Despite reaching a point where I was so happy with how much hair I had regained, I am now nearly back to how I was before I ever started the minoxidil. QUESTION: Can I now start finasteride and get my hair regrowth back AGAIN? Or did I screw myself by taking minoxidil without the finasteride for so long? I read somewhere that the point of taking minoxidil and finasteride together is to "bomb" or overwhelm your system. Now that my body is used to the minoxidil, I'm wondering if the finasteride will even have the effect that it is supposed to? Not necessary, I'll take whatever answers I can get, but I'd really appreciate an explanation with the responses. Not just simply "Start fin". Thank you.new apartment, terrified of killing a cat

It even shows on the tabs any days around it that has availability and when you click on the tab it again shows no availability?! Hi! So, I know that Europeans like to clown on American cardboard houses but I understand that this is a matter of culture and cost. If everybody builds houses from wood, the materials are more affordable and labor is more available and cost effective. And in the end, you can build houses that last from wood as well. I'm also aware that concrete residential buildings are filled with flammable stuff so an oil fire on your stove isn't really less devastating. You just end up with an uninhabitable concrete box instead of a pile of ashes. But I was wondering if California or the areas that deal with tornadoes and hurricanes would be better of, regarding damages to property at least, with a more European style of building? Just for context, most houses are brick and / or concrete. Roofs are tiled with ceramic, the roof itself is usually made from wooden beams. My walls specifically are steel reinforced concrete with bricks on the facade. A modern house is basically a white concrete block also regularly with flat roofs that don't look like they're made from wood. So, if those houses would be exposed to the forces of a tornado or hurricane or the heat from wild fires, would they fare better? Or are we talking about such force and heat that even a concrete house is gonna fall and would just become an oven in such forest fires? Again, this is not a "if you didn't built such shit houses you would bla bla bla". I'm legit curious and understand why American houses are built differently than European houses. Open house Saturday, final and best offers by Monday… first time home buyers, loved the house and felt immensely pressured w this tight timeline. we had very limited information before entering our offer, definitely our mistake. My husband and I offered 395K on a home that was listed for 400k. Offer was accepted. Sellers are moving out of state and are trying to push this through asap. We still don’t know the age of the roof and we were given incorrect information on the solar panel situation. We continued our research post offer and have learned they did not pull permits for plumbing or electricity in the detached barn that someone is currently living in. We are considering recinding our offer and offering less…. Our realtor advised against that. I am going to the town to look through building permits shortly. We are overwhelmed and are not receiving any info or advice when asked. Unfortunately our realtor is a family member- they are retiring in February 2025 so they are already mentally checked out and not helping the way we need help.
